Joyful Journeys Childcare believes in exploring nature together and learning through nature and experiences. We promote this by providing multiple opportunities for the children to develop their understanding on how to be kind to the world around us, including doing our own gardening and exploring the plants and trees.
We all have great love and enjoyment for the outdoors and each value the importance with incorporating nature into children's development. We believe that encouraging the children to respect the wildlife and nature around us will support them with treating other people with kindness and respect.

Here at Joyful Journeys, we work closely with parents.We aim to ensure that parents are a big part in children's learning journeys.
During your child's time with us, we encourage and promote respect and love which we demonstrate by offering nurturing care. We are one big Joyful Journey family.

Child Centered and Independence
At Joyful Journeys we strongly believe in supporting children in developing their independence. Examples of this includes putting on their own coats or shoes, conducting their own play or toilet training for example. We do this by providing the children with the opportunities to learn how to do things themselves and giving them the time and nurture for this.
As well as promoting independence, we heavily take the child centred approach. We offer lots of child led activities and resources that the children can use and explore how they want to.

Joyful Journeys Childcare believes in supporting the growth and development of each child as a unique individual. We have a keen passion to support children with SEND and value each element of their development. We aim to ensure that we provide a stimulating environment which best suits neurotypical and neurodivergent children alike.
To support this, we provide lots of sensory experiences which we use as child led activities for the children to explore using their senses and help to support their development. As well as this, we also have a room which we have made adaptable as a calming sensory room.

Here at Joyful Journeys, we strive to ensure that our natural land is protected and taken care of. We have a stunning sea of green which you can look out from the lodge balcony. We have an incredible 16 acres of land which the children can explore and discover more about the nature around them.
The children are given the opportunities to explore and absorb the natural world around them. Here they can develop a clearer understanding about the outdoors while they explore our stunning lake, learning about the animals around us such as bugs, fish and ducks and learn more about each of them and their life cycles and absorb the feeling of the trees and plants.
