Early years is my passion and I have gained my experience and skills working in childcare for the last 12 years in many different forms such as childminding, working in a nursery and volunteering. I am confident in my experience and confident in the model I would like to build. My entire focus is on the children, their development, their wellbeing, and their happiness.
I ran my own outstanding rated, Ofsted registered Childcare business in Hampshire called CB Childminding Services (now closed), for 10years and aspire to build the same standard setting in Devon. I also have 3 year’s experience working as an online educator for a home education academy. These lessons included Early Phonics, Crafts, Art History, Art lessons, Herbology, Upcycling, Nature club and a social club. I also have experience working for a private nursery as a room lead for 6 months. As well as all this, I am a proud mother of 3 children who I have raised with lots of joy and happiness.
I have lots of experience working with children with SEND, including home educating my own children supporting them with their ASD, PDA and Dyslexia. From this experience, I have been able to effectively help other families through the process of diagnoses and applying for EHCP’s, other support services and funding. I feel very passionate about providing an environment where all children’s needs are met. Working with each individual child to understand how they learn and develop best.
I am passionate in providing wonderful learning opportunities and strongly believe early years children should learn and be around nature, giving them as much opportunity to be creative and play in order to develop into happy and confident school ready children.
My qualifications include Level 3 in Childcare, Level 3 Food Safety, Level 3 Safeguarding and Level 3 Paediatric First Aid

I am an experienced Early Years Educator with six months of hands-on experience working in a nursery setting, where I supported young children through their crucial early stages of learning and development. My professional training and passion for the early years, has given me the confidence and knowledge to open Joyful Journeys with Chantal and create a high-quality early years environment where children can truly thrive.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Primary Education, during which I gained valuable practical experience through a variety of school placements. These opportunities allowed me to work closely with children across different ages, helping me develop a strong understanding of how children learn, grow and flourish. My aim is to positively impact children’s childhoods by nurturing their curiosity, supporting their development and helping them grow into confident, happy individuals.
I am passionate about child-led learning, outdoor education and providing real-life experiences that support children’s natural interests. I believe that regular time in nature is essential for children’s wellbeing and development, and I strive to incorporate this into everyday learning. I am committed to providing nurturing care within a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and secure.
Alongside my nursery experience, I have worked within a special educational needs school, which strengthened my understanding of inclusive practice, the importance of adapting learning approaches, and creating a true home-from-home setting. This experience has shaped my commitment to ensuring every child is supported as an individual, with their unique needs, strengths and interests at the heart of everything we do. I hold a Level 6 childcare qualification, Level 3 Food Safety, Level 3 Safeguarding and full Paediatric First Aid.
